By Categories: News

We have some exciting news for everyone. We will be publishing our radio topics on a weekly basis.

What?

Radio Show?

Yes, we host a weekly radio show on Sundays at 11 am, streaming on WYML.US, if you want to listen at the time the radio show airs. Every Sunday afternoon, the radio show will be uploaded to our YouTube Channel as a podcast. Please like, subscribe and share, as it really helps the channel.

Upcoming Radio Show on August 6, 2023

We will be airing a series of how Explorer Programs of the Boy Scouts of America sets up leaders. We will be interviewing medical professionals, law enforcement, and CEOs. Our next episode will feature a CEO and Life Insurance Professional.

Last week’s episode was about the Boy Scouts of America Explorer Program. We featured a financial services professional and the CEO of the largest entertainment company in the midwest (second largest in the country).

You can catch the show on Sundays at 11 am, streaming at WYML.US or catch episodes on our YouTube Podcast. Shows are uploaded every Sunday afternoon following the airing on radio.

August Classes

We recently partnered with a new range and gun store. RMG Guns is where we will conduct public class qualifications. To celebrate, for a limited time, the range fee will be included in the cost of the class. Our next classes are:

Two-Day Initial Concealed Carry Class, 8/12-8/13/23
3 Hour Recertification Class, 8/13/23

September Classes

We do not have any public facing CCL classes in September, due to previously scheduled engagements. We do have room for private lessons, cleaning sessions, and consultations, so don’t be bashful.

Public classes resume in October. If you are interested in a private concealed carry class, please reach out to us at Marcus@FirearmMentor.com.

Legal Update

There was a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the FOID card. The court determined that the FOID is constitutional as it does not restrict gun ownership for those qualified. Illinois is a “shall issue” state. The $10 FOID fee was also found not to be exhorbitant.

Firearms For Sale

From time to time, our students/clients sell firearms that they own. I have such a situation, where a client is looking to sell her SIG 365. It maybe has 100 rounds through it, and it has been well maintained (Marcus maintained it). If interested, please reach out to us (below) and we will facilitate an introduction.

Other guns we are aware of are:

NIB 1997 Winchester Model 94 angle eject 30-30 with box
Ruger Hawkeye FTW Hunter Left Handed in 6.5 Creedmore
