Silver Spring School | Heros | Concealed Carry Father and Teacher Save Lives | #firearmmentor

A teacher fought back. A father intervened. Their courage deserves recognition.

I’m Marcus Melnick with Firearm Mentor.

At Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon, police say a teacher threw her phone at an attacker, then tackled him and struggled for his weapon.

An armed father entered the classroom and shot the attacker, ending the threat.

Police credited their actions with preventing further loss of life.

Three children and a teacher were killed. We mourn them, and our hearts are with their families, the injured, and everyone carrying the trauma of that day.

We also honor two people who faced unimaginable danger to protect others.

Their courage reminds us why emergency planning, sound judgment, and preparation matter.
To that teacher and that father: your bravery deserves our gratitude.
