Your house of worship has a plan for the service. Does it have a plan for an emergency?

I’m Marcus Melnick with Firearm Mentor.

A place where people gather to pray should feel welcoming. Preparing for an emergency helps protect that community.

Before your next service, consider three questions:

Do staff and volunteers know how to report a threat?
Do congregants know the nearest exits, including one beyond the entrance they normally use?
And is there a coordinated plan to help children, older adults, and people with disabilities?

Security takes communication, preparation, and practice. One person with training cannot replace a coordinated team.

Ask your leadership: ‘What’s our emergency plan, and when did we last practice it?’

Visit FirearmMentor.com for training information. Like, follow, and share this with someone who helps keep your congregation safe.

Remain Safe. Stay Sharp. Train for the Moment that Matters.
